Bragg Hill Family Life Center
Our mission is to provide assistance to citizens of the Fredericksburg area, with special emphasis on the total growth and development of the community's "at risk youth," and economically underprivileged.
BHFLC provides opportunities for mental, moral, spiritual, and educational growth.
We serve as an outreach organization for the community and referral source for individuals needing assistance from local agencies.
We are committed to family empowerment. Our motto is "We build people," and it is our sincere desire to build individuals, families, and the community.
The Bragg Hill Family Life center is a non-profit 501(c)3 faith based organization that was established in September of 1997, by Reverend Joseph Henderson and his wife Dr.Doris Henderson. As former members of the Bragg Hill Community they clearly identified a need for change. Their goal to become a permanent positive presence in the community began as an outreach ministry of their church, Tower of Deliverance. BHFLC is now a subsidiary of Tower Ministries that serves not only the residents of Bragg Hill, but all residents of the surrounding counties from Stafford to Caroline. Through a collaborative effort of local churches, businesses, organzations, and inidviduals the center has been able to offer a variety of serives to meet the many needs of the community. Originally located in a small space on Fall Hill Avenue, in August of 2003, BHFLC was able to expand its size by moving into the former Juvenile Detention Center, turning a negative symbol in the community into a place of hope. BHFLC continues to grow and adapt to the changing needs of the community focusing on building people as well as building a better tomorrow.
From I 95 N and S take Exit 130-B - Route 3 West. Take a right at the third stop light onto Fall Hill Ave. Follow Bragg for about 1and1/4miles (it will change names to Fall Hill Ave). On your left you will see a small sign for The Bragg Hill Family Life Center. If you pass a 7-11 on the left you have gone too far.
